Guest Clarkey
It reminds me alot of the Hong Kong scenes in Shenmue. Lots of hints and nudges of when it is set, like the shot of the Ferry Port that was obviously destroyed. The sign was missing some letters possibly implying that the ferry is no longer used and the station is falling apart, a sign it is set after GTA 3. The lead character looks Italian/American to me, interesting too.

Guest Slim Jim
I'm sure there will be some tie in with the mafia that we've dealt with in past GTA games, but I'm pretty sure he was a Rusky or nearish anyway.
Guest Clarkey
I saw it without the sound, so ignore me on that front.
Fidel Cashflow
Indeed. And about the time thing, the final shot is of the Manhattan skyline, and there are no Twin Towers, so this is definitley set in the "now". And good eye on the Ferry, didn't really think about that. Because of this, I'm going to restart GTA:III to get re-aquanted with the big city.
Guest Clarkey
You know, on watching again a few times I noticed that the game's protagonist states that he is a people smuggler. I forsee some transcontinental flights needed to keep his empire running. Though that could be the open possibilities for the downloadable content in the future. If that is indeed what happens, I may explode. Even something like a small London map would be nuts.
Guest Al Stevens
DAMN now normally i get somewhat excited for GTA games and then after a few months i get rid of them, however this looks impressive and also i picked up on the smuggling part as well, which should be hella cool as well. Guest Jack
I think this looks brilliant. It's hard to tell much just off this tiny trailer, but at least the graphics are spot-on. As for the main character, I'm, not too sure. One of the things that made me such a big fan of the previous games was my connection to the main character. GTA III was based off my favourite genre of films, gangster. It was all things connected to the Italian mob, like Casino, Goodfellas etc. Vice City was great, as it was a straight up copy of my favourite film, scarface. I was pumped for San andreas for months before it was released, and a big part of that was the culture of the era the game was set in. The music, the crime, the characters - Almost everything appealed to me. And even though this game looks good, I don't have any desire whatsoever to play this character. That said, I think I'll be pleasantly suprised. R* are great. GTA is great, so I probably shouldn't be so pessimistic about it. I can't wait, regardless. I would definetly have preffered to have seen an Italian or Mexican, if there must be someone new.

Guest Anime Otaku
I just got the trailer from Xbox Live and I hope that they have gone the SR way with the map and have used the power to make a single big city with great graphics which is how it looks to me. Definitely looks like Liberty City again which is cool though I preferred Vice City more.
Guest Drake
The trailer looks f'n AWESOME. I don't have a PS3 nor an X-BOX 360, but just for this game I'm gonna buy one of the two consoles. Plus a friend of mine told me that the guy in the trailer is from Russia.
Guest Kanenite
The Trailer looks amazing. Seriously cannot wait for the game, i'm really looking forward to seeing how it all unravels. The character looks good, I thought Tommy Vercetti was the best and at the moment he doesn't compare at all but he'll probably end up growing on me. I'm wondering now if there will be some kind of countryside and different countries. God i'm pumped up now, bring on GTA IV.
