Star Wars vs Star Trek

Inspired by a comment by someone, who would win in a "fight" between Star Wars and Star Trek.

Don't just say one, give real reasons, give explanations, give your thoughts.

Here's my view, if you're allowing all characters, then Star Trek completely kicks Star Wars' ass, because the Q can just change reality, so no matter what Star Wars throw at them, it can be "changed".

Now, ignoring the Q, Star Trek ships ALL have shields, so even the Tie Fighters and X Wings won't stand a chance.

Using the bad guys, the Borg would totally asimilate the Empire and use their own technology against them, not to mention how powerful a Borg Cube or Borg Sphere is.

Yes, it's a totally geeky discussion, so no "God, you're a bunch of geeks" comments.

Go ahead, discuss. :)

Star wars would win... They have the magical powers of the force... Star Trek has Phasers.

Yoda would crush Q's brain with the force, and then decapitate him with his cute little light saber.

The Borg would be picked up and tossed around by the force of Mace Windu.

Tie Fighters and X-Wings could totally out manuver one of those big clunky Stra Trek ships that have two settings: sitting duck or warp speed. I refer you to the Spanish Armada.

I change my argument. Star Wars would win because movies are better then TV. While Star Trek has made movies, they were all crap, so it's still just a TV show.

How on earth has this thread not been done before?

Now, ignoring the Q, Star Trek ships ALL have shields, so even the Tie Fighters and X Wings won't stand a chance.

Can these shields protect ships from a direct blast from a Death Star?

Using the bad guys, the Borg would totally asimilate the Empire and use their own technology against them, not to mention how powerful a Borg Cube or Borg Sphere is.

Would the Borg be able to combat the Siths power of mind control, and what would happen if a Rancor happened to go rampaging through a Cube or a sphere?

Would Captain Kirk be able to defend himself against Yoda who is willing to open up a can of bruceleechucknorrisindianajonesbatmanoptimusprimemagicaltrevorjackiechanhulkhoganjohncenagandalf

on his ass?

OK, you want to use the Death Star? It has ZERO shields and takes about a minute to warm up the one weapon it has.

During this time the Federation, Klingons, Romulans or Borg could be battering the hell out of the ONE Death Star that is sat there doing nothing - before it gets a chance to shoot it's blasted to hell and back by Photon Torpedoes and plasma blasts.

Star Trek 1 - Star Wars 0.

Next, Kirk vs Yoda? Kirk sees the midget get out his light sabre, Kirk messages to the Enterprise who then do a point to point transportation taking him up to the ship, keeping him in a force field, then trasnport him out into space. One dead Yoda.

Star Trek 2 - Star Wars 0.

How do the Borg combat the Sith Mind Control? It's easy, they're a hive mind, so unless the Sith can effect EVERY SINGLE Borg (with technology implants which can over-ride it), then it'll do nothing.

Start Trek 3 - Star Wars 0.

NEXT! :D

OK' date=' you want to use the Death Star? It has ZERO shields and takes about a minute to warm up the one weapon it has.[/quote']

The Death Star has more than one weapon. The turrets on the canyon scene in episode IV voutch for this and if you've ever come across a stationary turret on a video game they are a real pain in the ass. So whilst The Federation the Klingones the Romulans and even the Borg are busy trying to blast the Death Star and avoiding turret fire. A single Jedi Starfigheter flys into battle and disables their fighters with Force Lightning. By this time a minute has passed and The Death Star has wiped out another planets inhabitants.

Yoda has no need to use his lightsabre as he befriends the ever inquizitive Shat only to use his Force powers to drop a huge boulder on his head which Shatner would never see coming as he would be too busy posing or searching for Spock.

I have'nt got the foggiest what you're on about.

Yeah, those turrets are against single fighters, not against the big ships, so while the turrets fire their little pin*****s against the Enterprise D shields, it unloads it's photon torpedoes all into the Death Star's dish, disabling it.

Boink, one useless big sphere in space.

The Big Ships that you talk about are also fighting Imperial Star destroyers, the Millenium Falcon the Ebon Hawk the entire Rebel fleet as well as the entire fleet of the Trade Federation the whole Fett family along with any other bounty hunters the Empire have called into duty. The fleet from Naboo and Vaders Fist.

How are you finding all these death star weaknessess when I was under the impression that the only way to destroy it was to fire a laser or something into a tiny little pipe?

That's because the Rebels didn't have the firepower to do enough damage - look how long it took to take down a Star Destroyer.

Now take the weapons on things like the Borg Cube which would cut a ship in half in one shot, and firing THROUGH the shield, then it'll do a lot more damage.

Let's not forget that the Klingons and the Romulans have cloaks as well - the Empire or the Rebels wouldn't see them coming, so they would be taken apart before they'd even fired one shot.

I imagine most people in Ster Trek to be weak minded, so the Sith could just build up an army of weak minded Star Trek people, giving them an unbeatably huge arm, so Star Wars wins

Except for the Borg, Vulcans and Romulans - they all shouldn't be suseptible (sp?) to mind control.
